iPhone 3G/3GS to be Sold at The Shack

It seems as if the previous threats of the iPhone coming to The Shack are finally about to come true. Granted it is more than a year later but it is indeed coming according to Engadget Mobile.
The iPhone 3G and 3GS rollout should begin by the end of this month at some Shack locations in the Dallas and New York City areas only. We can expect a full nationwide rollout sometime early in 2010.
It’s always good to have options… right?

Well, it should fit right in since Radio Shack is no longer that inexpensive place to buy electronic gear. And it’s still Radio Shack here in NYC.

Funny you said “good to have options”…. In our minds we were thinking carriers not stores!

Radio Shmucks has to be one of the worst retailers I’ve ever had to deal with. Every single time I’ve gone in there looking for something they should have had I walked out disappointed. A few years ago when the gps receivers were dropping in price I saw their ad for a Tom Tom that a family member wanted for Christmas so I ran there first thing in the morning on the date the sale started. What do you know, no Tom toms. When asked about this the salesman said they hadn’t had them in over a month and probably wouldn’t until after the holidays. Well if there was no chance of ever having them in stock why put them on sale? To piss off your customers? Crooks.
Don’t even get me started on their dwindling electronic component section.

Why do I have a feeling I’m going to see them advertising really great sales of iPhones and iPhone accessories this holiday season only to find that nothing is in stock? Oh and NO I don’t want to give you my address or phone number nor do I want to make a donation to your charity.
