Just an update for Error 2. DO DOWNLOAD LATEST 8 VERSION OF ITUNES (as previous link). Install it etc. When you connect your Ipod 5G it will say you need Version 9. Just simply go to downlaod update latest software. Your base data/installation in version 8 gets the raw outline of the software installed without hiccup and 9 simply updates (patches?) this as you are not installing from scratch. Should be HEY PRESTO! Make sure your Ipod is connected beforehand!

PS. Denis, when clicking on AppleApplicationSupport.msi, through WinRaR and repair, the file is corrupt and can not complete cycle. Useless for me anyway.

Anyone experiencing "Error 2" for WIndows PC, ignore and download latest 8 version series. Similar as 9 apparently but works with no issues Link (32 bit although 64 is available)

http://www.oldapps.com/itunes.php?old_itunes=46

Teach these guys who upgrade software to fire their beta testers. Spent hours tring to get itune 9 and £££ on Ipod & accessories. Apple store in Southampton said "just download itunes" they don't say latest version because clearly it is unstable!

Who have this problem:Apple Application Support was not found.
Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again.
Error 2
1. Download and install WinRAR. 2. Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe icon and choose "Open with WinRAR". 3. Once the EXE is opened in WinRAR, double-click AppleApplicationSupport.msi and when the installer window is open choose "Repair". 4. Done! You can now run iTunes normally.
