No one cares about time magazine, they are slowing dying.

  2. SmartyGuy Says:

    @GP Brilliant insight, really.

  3. tom Says:

totally agree with GP. if you want times (lack of) coverage, simply turn the tv or point your browser to msnbc

  4. Carol Says:

Sure, I want articles like Exercise Makes You Fat. Even for free, I’ll skip this app.

  5. Adam Says:

Don’t think I’ll use this app. Nice artical though.

I currently use NYTimes, AP Mobile, Digg (webpage, no app) , and Huff Post. I don’t think I need another. Besides, 4 fits nicely in a single row on my phone :)

  7. Icebike Says:

I had to delete AP MOBILE because it was 45 seconds from the moment I tapped ihe icon till current content painted.

Bookmark google news on the springboard and you have the best news coverage of all.

That said I’ll give this app a try.

Seems like a pretty good app. I happen to be a news junkie so I have one for the local news from the city I live in, a couple for national news across the country… but my all time favorite is the BBC news (BBC Reader) from iTunes. I like the world perspective and getting a view of what’s happened in the UK before our day even starts.

The other oddity is the App store description mentions push, but this app does not have any push capabilities.

All of you must be high. Time Magazine is the most classy news medium ever created and trumps all of these websites that people regularly frequent for so-called news many times over. This franchise has existed many years before web publications like AP, MSNBC and Google were ever dreamed of and will probably far outlast them in the future. What an ungrateful generation!

  11. Umm Says:

Dex. Hate to break your bubble, but im sure your still using 8 track tapes too. Print media is dying, reguardless of weather an ungrateful generation is here or not. Do u not understand the dynamics of change? Oh yea, ur generation has issues with common sense and change. We only need look at the state of our nation to see what your generation is capable of. Ha.

Ive been using this app for a few days and it really is great! Ill wake up in the morning with a cup of coffee and just read Time strait from my iphone! Sure I can not agree with them on anything political, but their tech and medical articles are defiantly great! Its made it to the first page of my apps! Thats a big achievement!

Umm proves that along with print media, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary are reserving plots in the graveyard.

Problem is, “news” is opinionated bullshit today. What passes as news is nothing more than a not-even-thinly-guised OpEd piece. Report, and let ME decide my politics and needs. Who does that? When it IS done again, I’m there.
