Any bets on how long before MS/Google/RIM/Palm start running the “there’s no app for that” commercials?
They write themselves… “So you’re walking down the street and you see a sign with a word you don’t know. Wish you had a dictionary for your iPhone?” TUAW reported today that Apple is now banning many ebook apps for fears of copyright infringement… If you work in PR for MS/Google/RIM/Palm you must be laughing at good ol’ Mr Jobs!

I just saw this commercial like 2 minutes ago. My family thinks I’m such a geek for getting excited about an iPhone commercial

Ditto @llofte! I’m afraid it’s got a priority over sports center/espn. What is the background music for the iPhone “App For That” commercials? I know the Original iPhone commericals were Perfect Timing-Orba Squara, iPhone 3G- You, Me, and Bourgeorise by The Submarines. Now what’s Apple’s pick for the iPhone 3GS.

There’s an app for that: Shazam. The track is “Unfamiliar Faces” by Matt Costa.

I am not an iPhone user but am an intensive smartphone data user.
Everytime I see this commercial my first thought is to the data cost to run the apps when using your American iPhone in Paris.
Am I right to be concerned about data costs or are these not dependent on a “live” connection?

I want to see something like the “i’m a mac and i’m a pc” ads but with the iPhone and the pre! Lololol
