But then…….
July 17th, 2009 at 1:58 pm
$295 – Wow – A little on the pricey side – even for me.
July 17th, 2009 at 2:00 pm
I’m sorry. I only have one word for this product…
Gimmick.
July 17th, 2009 at 2:06 pm
Dmys, your ‘Made in USA’ barb was uncalled for, in my opinion. You’re insinuating that Americans can’t manufacture precision camera gear?
I’m not going to grant you a pass on that.
July 17th, 2009 at 2:07 pm
I thought it was a joke when I first started watching. Way too pricey, but lately I’ve found myself really wanting/needing to be able to mount my iPhone to a tripod.
July 17th, 2009 at 2:10 pm
Actually, I was insinuating that Americans can’t manufacture anything. If you think it’s not true, look for 10 things around your house that is PURELY American.
News Flash: I don’t need you to grant me a pass.
July 17th, 2009 at 2:11 pm
This is absolutely ridiculous!
July 17th, 2009 at 2:28 pm
This is the stupidest ******* thing I have ever seen. A little tripod would be useful but this makes you look like a ******. And why are they explaining the device to each other when they both know what it is? They couldn’t find anyone else interested enough to listen?
Also I’d never put my iPhone at the top of a pole and wave it around at a concert as they suggest.. It would get knocked out of my hand and stolen for sure. This is the stupidest accessory I’ve seen yet.

Likely Alex Lindsay’s next MacBreak Weekly pick?

Palm Pre users can sync with Itunes again.

blog that Rene.
July 17th, 2009 at 2:51 pm
Dmys, every thing around you is made in China because it is “cheap” not because American’s can’t build it. Silly.
July 17th, 2009 at 3:12 pm
The idea of taking pictures with a phone is to have less clunky equipment. If you’re going to go to these lengths .. just bring your real camera equipment.
July 17th, 2009 at 3:46 pm
How can one claim to be an iPhone blog when they continually post videos that can not be viewed on said device?
As to the poster saying Americans can’t manufacture anything. That’s a load of pooz. Just because something is assembled somewhere does not mean it wasn’t designed in America and due to over taxation and over inflated labor costs the assembly was out sourced some where else. Your trying to pick and choose your facts. Facts can’t not be artitrarily over looked to suit your point of view. Don’t you dare take away from those that design because of a few greedy folks in power that have to have their fingers in everyones pockets. I don’t know where you are from, but your bad behavior just knocked it’s greatness down a notch.
July 17th, 2009 at 4:01 pm
LOL yes, plz get your panties in a bunch.
The way U.S. economy is going, perhaps you guys should actually DO something about those “greedy people” instead of just blogging about it.
July 17th, 2009 at 4:50 pm
You guys aren’t falling for that garbage right.. I mean talk about some BS gimmick ****.
July 17th, 2009 at 4:51 pm
I forgot, I can take video with the 3GS with ONE hand.

Hey, I know… maybe YOU could help by, you know, not linking to their ******* videos! Rather than referring all the work to your readers. Given the fact that some huge percentage of us are looking at the site via an iPhone, that doesn’t sound all that unreasonable to me.
July 17th, 2009 at 5:17 pm
@ IROC thanks for stating what u did. N to the dude that said Americans don’t manufacture anything get for real dude.
July 17th, 2009 at 5:25 pm
Looks excellent
July 17th, 2009 at 5:29 pm
Kinda dumb if you ask me lol
July 17th, 2009 at 6:31 pm
I’m a proud American but I actually tried finding 10 items that were purely made in America in my home. Couldn’t do it. This is a sad day for me.
July 17th, 2009 at 7:25 pm
@iphoneaddicted: I understand.
But that doesn’t mean that Dmys’ attack was even warranted in this case. In many respects it isn’t even relevant to the topic. The company seems to be pleased that it is made in their country, the cost and utility of the device itself is really the point of discussion.
July 17th, 2009 at 7:27 pm
Thinking about it again, it was flamebait and I succumbed. My apologies.
July 17th, 2009 at 9:39 pm
this. is. dumb.
July 18th, 2009 at 12:40 am
what is the point of all that clunky stuff, just get a “real”camera then. The big advantage of the iphone is that I carry it arround with me all the time, and I wont carry with me this big stability this system, makes no sense, and the price is way too expensive. It would be nice to design a very small stability system integrated in a case though.
July 18th, 2009 at 9:30 am
Interesting from maybe a film student or security point of view but not a regular consumer. The price tag is outrageous and just screams professional use only.
… And by the way you people are funny. Can’t find one thing made in the U.S. Where are you looking anyway. Trek bikes 100% designed and manufactured in the U.S. (I own one so I know) But does it really even matter here, this is the iPhone blog not the “where are things made blog”. Now back to our regularly scheduled iPhone goodness….
July 18th, 2009 at 10:03 am
I was able to watch this video on my iPhone! Don’t I just love JB!!
July 18th, 2009 at 6:51 pm
I have the low cost version. Velco and my forehead.
July 18th, 2009 at 8:41 pm
lol, typical Americans.
Can’t defend themselves so let’s get back to topic!!
Please you bumbling idiots, can’t wait to see your country fail.
July 19th, 2009 at 10:18 am
This would be an excellent product if you had heaps of money to waste, no imagination and were really not into touching your iPhone
July 21st, 2009 at 2:05 am
@dmys
And just what country are you from/promoting dipshht?it is laughable at best…. “Oh can’t defend yourself then whah, whah whah back on point. ” if you think other countries don’t depend on the USA for trade you a truly full of crhp. What are those country going to do if the USA goes to ruin. They’re going to be crying all the way home from the bank when they realize more than 60% of the profits aren’t there anymore. What dmys! What!!! You just a punk if I ever heard one.
