I have been chasing a problem for 2 days with my 3GS not being able to connect with my home network which uses a Airport extreme and an airport express as a booster. Rest, reconfigured, started from scratch a half a dozen times. This network worked before with no problems. Then I had to sit and think what changed, what had I done, reversed latest updates, didn't work, ran pc laptop in safe mode, no luck, unplugged modem and airport express over night, no luck. Couldn't figure it out for the life of me. Then I remembered I had recently added a set of wireless headphones. The transmitter was blocking the signal. Not sure how, not sure why, but that was it. Removed the transmitter and my wifi is back and the number of dropped calls stopped at the same time. Not sure if this had an effect on the calls but it sure did cure the connection problems.

Jeez, I hate Iphones. My wifes wifi packed in after just 2 weeks.
I tried the "airplane off, wifi on" trick and it works at full strength so ok for Skype calls and then switch back.

My old Iphone works fine as does my iphone touch, go figure!

I'll use this until a proper fix comes along.

I, too, have the same problem! Except my iPhone 3G (on 3.1.3 - just upgraded coz I thought it'd help) finds available networks but wont connect regardless if its secure or not i.e. wont connect to my secure home network OR the motel next door's unsecure network.
It's come to this - I've put my phone in the freezer for 10 minutes (placed it in a sealed lunch bag & covered it with a teatowel) and it still didnt work. Then reset network settings on iPhone and STILL didnt work.
My laptop can connect to both networks. I tried resetting router, iPhone, changing router password or making it unsecure (i.e. no password), freezer, network reset but it's doing my head in!

HELLP! (the extra 'L' in HELP intended)

If the iphone is under warranty, will the Apple store care if I don't have an AT&T sim card/account? Do they ask you in the store?

Thanks

Finally took my iPhone to Apple store - and they replaced it for a new one. Seems to be a known issue with some iPhones.

I've been having wifi trouble with my 3Gs 16gb is 3.2.1, and my partners 32gb iPod touch 3.2.1.
The problem we have is their wifi keeps forgetting the passwords, on both our Sky home broadband sagem router and on the BT Business router at my work place, it would be fine for a couple of days then it would start asking for passwords again, I've almost completley memorised them as a result, sometimes I just have to give up and use my EDGE connection.

Anyone know why this happens?
