Monday Fun Video: iPhone OS Running on a Big Screen Mac Pro!
See above. Dreamfield.se (via CruchGear) has hacked iPhone OS 2.x to run on a multi-touch monitor of a Mac Pro desktop.
It’s not the iTablet we’ve all been waiting for, and likely more than a little bit of an arm workout, but as iPhone hacks go it’s impressive. Most impressive.

wow. Impressive. That’s how the iPhone should respond. Without that lag. What song is that btw.

Didn’t I see that on CNN?

Tkd27. I’ve seen that demostrated by somebody from microsoft and at&t long before CNN got those. at&t has those screens to show off their pholes. You just put your phone on the screen and it tells you everything. You can pitch to zoom and move everything around like she did.

looks fake tbh

This is why touch screens don’t work everywhere. One example where they are used like this is ATMs, but those are only used by people for a couple mins at a time.

offcourse it’s fake; but… this gives a nice feel of using a large screen in this manner and i must say… looks like a very good way to use a big screen this way, i see alot of possibilities if they would ever bring out something like this !

can you imagine carrying around an iPhone that big? that would be HILARIOUS

This is as fake as fake gets. Did you actually read the CrunchGear article? Particularly, the part that this more than likely is a hoax?
Maybe you could pass that little “speculation” nugget on to us lowly readers instead of getting our shorts all soiled with excitement that this might actually be real?
I am continually disappointed with how little thought goes into the stories that are posted here on a regular basis.

Even if it was real, not really inpressive imho. Rather see an actual affordable touch screen computer that is responsive as the iPhone, but not the actual iPhone on a big screen. >.<

it’s fake, the monitor doesn’t have an acceleramonitor, it is ported from the iPhone store demo. not impressive just smoke and mirrors from a stolen software demo.
