I love 1Password and use it all the time. I have a lot of different website logins that I have trouble remembering – 1 for fun, 1 for business, etc. It’s very secure and I won;t switch over when 3.0 comes out. mSecure is my other password and account information software, and I swear by it’s backup features and it’s security features as well.

1Password is my most used app on my iMac. Like Rene, I’ll continue to use 1Password on even with 3.0. I won’t trust my bank info to Safari. That may sound paranoid, but paranoia has served me well over the years.

@Rene: “Credit cars” should be “credit cards.”

@kate: You should always do your homework when it comes to your security. Don’t just use security programs without some basic info on how they work. 1Password’s website is very informative. Good Luck!

@Redfood: u can. all u need to do is hit “more” –> “edit” and rearrange the icons in the bar to make the logins as the first one from the left. Hit “done” and enjoy.

i’m giving it a try but i’m scared my info will get out somehow when i’m on my wifi connection or something.

1Password gives 4-digit and long master-password, so you can require the longer password if you want to, for example, do online banking. No way will MobileSafari be remembering any financial or otherwise sensitive password data of mine...

I just wish it could be set to start on the logins tab. It drives me crazy to have to tap on the tab every time.

Now that iPhone OS 3.0 can remember login information, and it’s the “real” Mobile Safari doing it, instead of a limited Safari-like interface in 1Password, I can’t see myself using this. I already have a passcode to unlock the iPhone (with no grace period to use it without the passcode) so it’s as safe as 1Password’s 4-digit passcode.

I guess saving additional information like router passwords, bank account information, driver’s license number, and the other “Wallet Items” could be useful for people, but I actually have all that stuff memorized anyway. Since it’s free it might be worth using the “Wallet Items” just in case I need to know something obscure, but I honestly don’t think the web login has any use now for me now that 3.0 has it. If I shared my iPhone with friends or children, then maybe I’d want that extra password protecting some important logins, though.
