Wally,
No it doesn't run on the 3GS. People have been trying to convince Saurik to update it to run on the 3GS so you can record video with the screen blacked out. But it appears he has much higher priorities. Why would you want it on the 3GS since the built in video recorder has a higher frame rate?

Ok, I have the 3g, have dl'd WinSCP, iPhonebrowser and afc2add (bc I have 3.1 firmware). WinSCP wouldn't work, it kept denying my password or something (copy/pasted from TTKA1347's entry above), and iPhonebrowser opens, then closes before i can try anything. What gives? I was using DiskAid, but my trial ended. I won't pay for any apps, trying to transfer Cycorder vids for free. I am hooked up on a very weak "borrowed" wireless, and use my PDAnet thru USB for internet service.

What gives?! Grrrr

@Julie,
 Also if you I fail to reply in a timely manner you may also try the "Dev Team Blog". They are the developers of Pwnage tool, redsnow, ultrasnow, etc, etc. That is a great community for helpful answers. Website:

@Julie,
 Do you have access to a mac or a PC? And there a several options depending on what firmware you want to go to. I would recommend going ahead and going to 3.1.2. The website "iclarafied" has great tutorials. And if you reply here to which computer system you have access to and what firmware you want to go to I will help. And remember, since you are on a 2G your phone can always be unlocked.

@TTKA1347 Thanks so much for the info... worked like a charm .. even though it did say, "The procedure entry oint sqlite3preparev2 could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll". It still worked for me. I have an older iPhone 2g, I had to unlock and jailbreak it to 2.2. I was worried it would not work. But it did. I would like to upgrade to 3.0+ but am getting different information on how to do it. So if anyone has some info... please feel free to contact me. I would truly appreciate it. I am a n00b but if instructions are given to me, I can pretty much do it. :)

Thx again.. :)
